Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea....

How many of us got our rubber start there? Divers in shiny black and red wet suits, wrestling with enemy combatants or fighting giant sea monsters . . . As boys, we wished we could be those men.
In April we celebrated the DVD release of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Season 2, part 1: In color! First episode off the block is "Jonah and the Whale," featuring several wetsuited divers, including Capt Crane wrestling and struggling inside the belly of a whale (never mind the flawed logic and just enjoy!). How anyone could have thought this was written by a straight guy . . . With the DVDs we can relive those boyhood dreams again.

Rubber Fireman's Boots - Ft. Worth Station

We were driving around Fort Worth and passed a new fire station. "Turn around!" I screamed. When we got to the recently finished station, there in front was a monument constructed of rubber firemen's boots. Only these weren't rubber but steel. Still they make a dramatic display and worth a visit.
